Should I have "back up" characters made incase my current one gets into more than she can handle? How many back ups should I have? Should I make the character with you, or just send you a copy when I have one complete? What level would I be coming in as?

Good questions..
Should you have a backup character? Well I would recommend it, the best way to go about this is to make a mortal character in the normal way. This leaves you open to any situation as it may arise, be it decided there is a need for an Elodoth that you could fill, or to play another new Cub to stir up the mix.
I would hazard to say having one backup is prudent, having more then one seems to indicate a lack of survivability. The game will have death in it, I will let you know that now, but it shouldn't cause you to want 3-4 backups just in case.
Making one with me is ideal, but with our busy schedules this is not always possible, so I would recommend again using a mortal template sheet, and sending me the balanced results. A short sweet background would be nice too, but you need not post it.
The levels at this time are Established and Cub, as right now there is a limit, as someone who played in my system, you can come back as either. All new players (Genre or LARP at all) should begin as Cubs just to get the proper feel, (sides when you see what they get to do, you might think it much funner as well). There is no case where anyone in the game will have more then 30 Exp to start with, I realize the limitation that puts OOC where people might think you are weaker knowing you only have max 30 Exp... but I find it the most fair system at the moment, but may be something to be considered at a later time.
Hope that helps answer your questions,
Aaron
