How do we make our Renown known? Do you want it known to other Uratha? Should it be shown on our outfits somehow?

You will always know each other's renown. Its the equivalent of status or respect in werewolf culture. However unlike in vampire where you just politically maneuver better to obtain more respect. In werewolf you have to prove your actions to the spiritual higher ups. So if you are seen as a very Honorable person (say honor of 2 or 3) you have to be that way. A pure who is very Honorable would never attack a weaker opponent. Or a forsaken who is very pure would never wish to break the tenants of harmony.
Renown is handled two different ways.
The first is by the forsaken. Which involves the right of spirit branding that allows them to infuse there pelts with the renown symbols. It always takes on a silver look and tends to only be seen in garu form or in the spirit realm. Many people will tattoo themselves in the form of the brands they normally carry as a symbol of respect or power.
The pure do it a bit differently.
They preform a ritual similar to the spirit brand. However they do not invoke the lunar choirs to bless the person with the renown they have gained. Instead they request the first-wolves of his tribe to see him in the new light. The brands tend to take on a very feral look and seem to more scar then really brand the uratha who is receiving them. Also they tend to take on a red glow to them. And many say it is very difficult to distinguish between the brands of mother lune and the red marks of the first wolves.

That helps with the how to play out renown, and where I get it. Thanks. OOC should I have coloured beads, or stripes on my staff or something to represent the amount of renown I have and in which area?
